Jakarta – The Rector of UIN Jakarta, accompanied by the Vice-Rector for Cooperation, the Head of the Bureau of Administration and Cooperation, and the Head of the Center for International Cooperation, welcomed the Counsellor of Culture from the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran to his office for a meeting. This meeting was intended to strengthen ties and explore potential academic and cultural programs between the parties.

Both sides expressed their commitment to fostering stronger relations between Indonesia and Iran during the meeting. They discussed potential cultural exchange programs, academic collaborations, and language learning opportunities, including establishing Persian and Indonesian language programs in each other’s countries.

Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, Rector of UIN Jakarta, stated, “We are honoured by the visit of the counsellor of the culture of the Iranian embassy delegation and look forward to exploring various avenues of collaboration in the academic and cultural spheres. Strengthening our ties with Iran will benefit our institutions and enrich the experiences of our students and faculty.”
